Jared Rinker from Findlay, OH (originally from Romney, WV) is rider #37. He is riding his 1916 Indian Power Plus machine (aka “Lexi”, aka “Slayer of Monsters”, aka “The Silver Bullet”). Jared has three daughters – Jordan, Karter, and Spencer. Jared received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Kentucky in 2007 and has worked as an engineer for Marathon Petroleum ever since.
Jared grew up around motorcycles, started riding at age 6, and is a 3rd generation Indian rider (preceded by his grandfather Buck and father Steve). Jared and his family are Indian Motorcycle enthusiasts and have a vintage Indian Motorcycle shop and parts business in Romney, WV. Jared is a Great Race, Cannonball, and The Race of Gentlemen former competitor. This is Jared’s 5th cross-country antique motorcycle run (4 previous Cannonballs) at age 39, and he is ready for another epic adventure. He received perfect scores on the 2016 and 2018 coast-to-coast Cannonballs on his 1916 Indian Power Plus and two more on the 2021 and 2023 Cannonballs riding his 1928 Indian Scout (riding 2-up with his fiancée Rosie on the back for a portion of the 2023 Cannonball and setting a Cannonball record for the first rider to compete in 4 consecutive Cannonballs and finishing each with perfect scores).
In the inaugural TransAmerican Motorcycle Endurance Run, Jared will be once again riding his 109-year-old Indian Power Plus, taking it coast to coast for a 3rd time.
