I started riding motorcycles in 1967; my first bike was a Honda Trail 90. Spent many hours riding the mountains and trails of Northern Pennsylvania. I eventually moved up to a Honda SL 125, SL 175, and then a Yamaha 360 Enduro. Most of my riding was done off roads in farmers’ fields and trails. My first street bike was an XS 650 Yamaha twin. I moved up to an XS 1100 Yamaha, then to a BMW R 100 RS, then to a CX 500 turbo Honda. I raced a Yamaha RZ 350 and a Honda VFR 500 interceptor in.the WERA and AMACCS road race endurance series. I raced a Norton Manx in the AHRMA racing series at Daytona. I rode my CX 500 turbo 1000 miles in 17 hours and 15 minutes. It was called the Forrest City 1000.

I got involved with Antique motorcycles in the early 80s. My first antique bike was a 1947 Indian Chief. I rode it to many AMC motorcycle meets and road runs. My love for antique motorcycles snowballed after that. I started restoring motorcycles for myself and for friends, and eventually it became a part-time job. As of today, I’ve restored over 300 antique motorcycles. Mostly Indians, mostly four cylinders. A few Aces, a couple of Harleys and a few Hendersons. In 2023, I rode my 53 Chief to Alaska. I rode to Daytona for bike week numerous times on many different motorcycles. Also rode to Laconia on numerous occasions. At 73 years old, I don’t know how many more years of riding I have.

I am looking forward to riding the TransAm on a 1923 Henderson deluxe. I presently have in my collection a 1923 Henderson deluxe, A 1931 101 scout, A 1935 Indian four-cylinder, A 1938 Indian four W. side car, A 1937 Indian standard scout, a 1939 Indian sports scout, a 1947 Indian chief, a 1953 Indian chief, A 1978 BMW R 100 RS, a 2009 BMW dual sport, and a 2023 CX 125 Honda.
