My introduction to motorized 2 wheels was on a 1966 Vespa 180SS that I used in college. That machine gave me the passion for more vehicles on two wheels with engines. After that, I bought by impulse a 1938 Indian 4 basket case in 1977 that took 30 years to complete due to a growing family and work commitments.

Since then, my antique motorcycle collection has grown manyfold, with many brands. In 2023, I competed in the Motorcycle Cannonball with a friend as “Team Redcloud” where we learned a lot the hard way about competing with old motorcycles. I am looking forward to the 2027 Motorcycle TransAm to relive the excitement, challenges, and camaraderie that a cross-country ride gives, especially on a 1928 Indian Scout. I truly enjoy restoring, preserving, and riding these historic vehicles.
